  • If you're wondering how Philosophy, Math and Computer Science go together, consider that besides cosmology, epistemology, ethics, etc., many philosophy departments also teach things like reasoning, logic, and symbolic logic.
Number of years on team: 3 years as a coach
What I learned this year in FLL: It's pretty hard to make public places really accessible to all, but a lot of people are trying.
My favorite mission from 'No Limits' and why: I like every mission the robot can do reliably!
Other hobbies and interests I have: FRC, Hiking, Biking, Paddling, Orienteering, Geocaching, etc.
Favorite quote: "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." Romans 12:1-2
Favorite memory from Atlanta or what I am looking forward to or both: Watching the team do an excellent research presentation for the combined judging panel and answering judge questions so well that it gave me goose bumps.  The chocolate bread pudding at the wrap celebration was pretty good too. :-)
Other things to note about me: I hope to have some outdoor fun sometime this summer.  Any MAYHEMers want to come hike, paddle, orienteer?
